Chris Cowpe
Co-founder of The Caffeine Partnership (and Non-executive Director of Age Concern Holdings Ltd., the £100m trading arm of the charity).
Previously, Chris worked for 30 plus years in advertising, joining BMP as a graduate trainee planner in 1972 and leaving DDB London (the re-named BMP), as Chief Executive in 2005:
- Consistent winner of creative awards
- Won three times as many IPA Effectiveness Awards as any other agency
- Delivered financial targets for 15 consecutive years to 2005
- Voted Agency of the Year four times.
Chris believes he is professionally – good at:
- Business development: finding, attracting, winning and growing clients
- Working with (senior) clients
- Managing the different perspectives involved in any business: financial, creative, operational….
- Making connections – seeing how problems can be solved, opportunities grasped…
- Active listening – understanding what someone is really trying to say
Chris’ beliefs
Chris believe that Caffeine is the vehicle to use and expand these skills, together with his experience across a huge number of businesses. He wants to work with companies and individuals who want to grow rapidly, either corporately or personally.
Chris also believes that everyone has the capacity to do bigger, better things, far beyond their current scope – he recently completed a course at the London School of Coaching has re-inforced this belief. Chris’ job at Caffeine is to release that potential, to get rid of the barriers to growth and potential.
Finally Chris believe that this can be done quickly and efficiently; it does not need long-winded, cumbersome processes. It simply requires intelligent conversations, focusing on the real issue(s) and with the energy and commitment to make things happen.
